CLEAR+ does not eliminate passenger or baggage screening. TSA PreCheck generally allows laptops and compliant liquids to stay in the carry-on, with reduced removal requirements. Enrolling through CLEAR is not the same as using CLEAR+

Where is TSA PreCheck at PHL?
PHL’s checkpoint page lists TSA PreCheck at A-West 1, A-East, C, and D/E. Terminal C is listed as PreCheck-only. Hours and operations can change, so consult the official schedule for your travel day.

PHL’s terminals are connected beyond security. If you enter through a checkpoint outside your departure terminal, leave time to reach your gate. Choose a lane you are eligible to use, and account for airline bag drop before going through screening. Open the official PHL map ↗ (opens in a new tab)
Plan for the whole airport visit. A checkpoint’s opening time is not a forecast of its queue. Bag drop, screening, and the walk to your gate each take time.

How should you plan security at PHL?

Confirm that your Known Traveler Number is correctly included in your airline reservation and look for the PreCheck indicator on your boarding pass. Check the available PHL lanes and their hours before you leave.
I have CLEAR+ but not TSA PreCheck
Plan to use standard screening at PHL. A CLEAR+ membership does not by itself establish TSA PreCheck eligibility. You may still be able to use CLEAR+ at another participating airport on your itinerary.
I have neither program
Use an open standard checkpoint, prepare your carry-on, and follow TSA instructions. Do not rely on obtaining expedited-screening approval immediately before departure.
I am deciding whether to buy CLEAR+
